YACHT CHARTER

Sailing in the Solent Experience the thrill of sailing some of the most demanding waters in the world, and from Cowes on the Isle of Wight an internationally recognised sailing venue or any other Island or Solent harbour with a private yacht charter.Boats also available for the many events around the Island including Cowes week and round the Island race, but book early!

A variety of yachts are available for charter on the Isle of Wight ranging from Sigma 38's for easy cruising to brand new, state of the art 45ft Racing Yachts or 60ft ocean going boats where all your crew will get involved, With skippers on board and their wealth of experience of racing, both inshore and offshore, you will be in the best hands to take your first voyage on the Solent or to return to the sea for more of the fun and exhilaration of sailing large boats. Can be chartered by the day, weekend or week, bare boat or with skipper and crew.

We can organise your own mini regatta with matched boats and race marshals, breakfast lunch and tea's can be arranged in one of the sailing clubs in the Solent for example, Island Sailing Club Cowes, The Royal Solent Yacht Club Yarmouth, and the clubs in Lymington.

Fancy a more sedate type of cruising, then try our 70ft round the world yacht acres of deck space, sleeps 12 ideal for stag or hen groups, or a platform to watch an event.

To make your day an ideal event why don't you add a fast ridged inflatable boat for that bit of speed, when the going gets slow, the skipper can take off small group for a blast around the Solent.

Charter Venomous our CM 60 can take up to 16 people with full size bunks.

The CM 60 concept was established to meet a client's demands for an exciting but easily handled boat that would be competitive under all racing formats. With similar general characteristics to the Farr 45, the CM 60 is very fast for its size with excellent handling ability. The boat is very competitive under IRC, with an emphasis on fast light airs performance.

The deck layout is primarily designed for racing. Twin wheels and two grinder pedestals give good central cockpit space and a clean-looking, workable layout. Cockpit sides are inboard at the forward end of the cockpit and a half-height bridge deck gives way to more space below to accommodate the interior, without compromising cockpit use.

The rig features a formula similar to that used successfully on the Farr 45, Mumm 30 and Farr 40 One Design - carbon spar with two swept spreaders and no running backstays. Generous sail area enables the CM 60 to be very fast relative to its size.

Venomous benefits from both fractional or masthead spinnakers for scintillating offwind speed. The jib sheets to a longitudinal track and uses a hydraulic inhaul adjuster system, giving a good range of trim control. Forestay load and mast bend is controlled through the masthead backstay with an external hydraulic system

Friday evening , meet Yacht moored at Gunwharf Portsmouth, enjoy bars and restaurants there.

Saturday , cruise the Solent, have a swim or a blast in one of our Ribs*, head for Cowes or Yarmouth, spend the evening enjoying the great pubs, restaurants and atmosphere that Cowes or Yarmouth has to offer.

Sunday, leisurely breakfast, check out the weather, meander back to Gunwharf.
